Union Jack Patent…

As promised yesterday, and as a way of showing you how the bet is laid out, here are my 9 horses for the Union Jack Patent Bet….

TOTAL IMPACT 4.50 DONCASTER

CAPTAIN JACKSPARRA 7.50 KEMPTON

STRIKE THE DEAL 3.45 DONCASTER

JUTLAND 2.00 DONCASTER

TWICE OVER 3.10 DONCASTER

RADIO CITY 2.10 EPSOM

DUKE OF RAINFORD 6.20 KEMPTON

ANGELS PURSUIT 2.35 DONCASTER

KNOCK EM DEAD 5.40 UTTOXETER

Written out like this it might be easier to see how the bet works. Each row of three going across is a patent, each column of three going down is a patent and the two diagonals are also patents.

I’ll be placing a 10p Union Jack Patent (total stake £5.60) for the £100 to a Grand challenge.

I take it all bookmakers accept a Union Jack Patent? Not a bet I’ve ever seen before.

    Hi Stan,

Yes, all the High Street bookmakers will take this bet. I think William Hill’s have a special slip for a Union Jack Patent but I can’t recall having seen one in any other shop. You can always just write the horses down on a plain betting slip 1-9 and write Union Jack Patent underneath.

    Good luck,
    Gavin.
