YOUR BLOG NEEDS YOU….

The Tote have annouced that the 6 races for the Scoop 6 will be….

2.15 Goodwood
2.30 Haydock
2.45 Goodwood
3.00 Haydock
3.10 York
3.40 York

Which includes 4 handicaps, a Listed race and the Group 2 Temple Stakes.
The 16 runner sprint handicap that it ends with is particularly tough so I’ll leave Gary to sort that one out!

If you would like to help pick the selections simply email 1 horse from each race to me at gavin@nag-nag-nag.co.uk or leave them in the comments box.

The two races we have covered in the Trends Guide for Haydock are included in the Scoop 6 and will play a big part in the selections for those races.

I’m off down to Devon as soon as Dylan as finished school so I’ll pick up any emails/selections later this evening before heading to the casino for a game of poker.

Gary and I will put our heads together tomorrow morning to finalise our horses before putting the bet on and posting the perm on the blog.

We’re then off to the golf course with our little bruv and Gary’s eldest son for 18 holes round Dainton.

4 Ball Betting: Gary 5/4 Gavin 5/4 Glenn 5/1 Simon 13/2

We’ll be keeping our eye on the results throughtout the afternoon thanks to the wonders of modern technology and mobile internet access although I think the use of mobiles on the golf course is frowned upon by the Club officials (I’m sure they’ll make an exception when there’s £2million on the line). It should be a fun few days……

Good luck to everyone and have a great weekend,
Gavin.

  15. paula Says:

    2.15 goodwood

last time p robinson rode spitfire in Aug 09 came 6th out of 9 on gd /fm 7f same class

rileyskeepingfaith came 8th out of 14 in std ground last time Munroe rode over a 7f race class 3 (up in grade and diff ground)

run for the hills 08.05.2010 came 6 out of 7 for same jockey on same ground same class

mac gille eoin never been riden by sanders who has a decent strike rate in the last 14 days trainer strike rate not so good !! 4th out on 7 on same ground / distance & class

son of the cat trainers stats poor jockey high races better on std and sft

jonny mudball - does not do well on gd /fm never ridden by miss turner

parisian pyramid - haydock sept 09 7th out of 16 on same ground / class 5f shorter distance won at goodwood before (quelly never ridden and high win rate along with ryans strike rate) may well like the extra ground? k ryans class 2 horses have won once in last 14 days

freeforaday - won on std /sft 6f and gd/frm 5f lto class 2 11th out of 14 trainer stats low jockey stats high

jarrow - won twice on std ground 2nd in class 3 same distance going up a class new jockey?

going on the above i would say parisian pyramid stands the best chance of winning

  16. Gary Says:

  21. Steve Says:

I would love to submit my selections for tomorrows scoop 6 but don’t want to be a jinx. I actually have won the scoop 6 myself before in April 2000 when Paris Pike won the Scottish Grand National.Unfortunately so did 72 others that day. Mind you I had backed the second fav in the last race and 200 others had backed the Fav(Flagship Uberalles) which P/Up and I ended up with nearly £4500.00p including the place part. From that day I have got absolutely nowhere near with my weekly £2, usually going out in the first race. The nearest i’ve had since is 5 placings just missing out on the place part. The bonus the following week was won by one lucky ticket holder who picked Captain Millar which was the rank outsider of ten runners. He won £360,000.00p if I remember rightly. I still have a copy of the winning ticket and the cheque my local bookie paid me. So anyway good luck and all the best for tomorrow

  25. John M Says:

    Hi Gavin,
I always say going in that, “The Scoop looks easy this week,” so lets get down to it:
    2:15 G Rileysk # 1
    2:30 H Huygens # 6
    2:45 G ClassicV # 3
    3:00 H Borderl # 4
    3:10 Y Age of R # 3
    3:40 Y Cheveton # 4
After they all win I can say, “Dead Easy.” 2 FAPS, 2 Outsiders and 2 Middle and Diddle. Or You Might say; A double for Gavin @ Haydock, a double for Me @ Goodwood and we will let Frankie put his crown on with a double @ York.
Sorry I missed your syndicate. You know why? Gavin you sent me the invitation @ 4:00 AM Pacific Time. That is a little early for me to get up but, for You that would be Noon GMT, just in time to place your bets.
    Best of Luck,
    John M.
