My horse to follow this year has to be last years Champion Bumper winner Dunquib.
I expect this horse to continue the promise he showed last year and be placed to win races culminating with a crack at one of the novice hurdle events at the festival.
Phillip Fenton has a real stable star in Dunquib and could well be a future champion hurdler of the future.

My horse to follow this season isn't a shock really but I always back him whenever he runs.

Big Bucks has been a favourite of mine for a while now and the 6yo never fails to deliver when I feel the trip and conditions are right. He has a 100% record for runs in January (3 from 3) and will look to any runs he has then to continue that trend. Nicholls doesn't run him that often but when he does he's normally there or there abouts, and my money is always on!

He has a great record at Aintree and Cheltenham and will once again look out for any runs there this season.

"Don't Push It" from the stable of Jonjo O'Neill is my horse to follow. In the 2006-2007 season in his Novice Chase days he was rubbing shoulders with the likes of Denman. He looked like a potential future star.In 2007-2008 he did not show his earlier promise and seemed to lose his way.He was put back over hurdles last season and finally came good in a Handicap Chase at Aintree over 25f.
He has had a pipe opener this season in a 20f Chase at Aintree and is entered in a race at Cheltenham on Saturday over a more suitable distance of 24f+.
This could be his year to blossom.

My horse to follow this season is the exciting Knockara Beau of George Charlton's. After a pretty ordinary assignment on chase debut at Cartmel,he was given, what appeared on paper, a tough task against a couple of nice good un's in Killyglen and Chief Dan George. Admittedly he recieved weight from both but the manner in which he won was most impressive.Still, officially, a Novice, he looks sure to add to his tally before the end of the season and is one to keep an eye on.
