So I arrived at his stables and he said ' This is the horse I told you about ' . I looked in the stable at the horse on the floor with a pile of blankets on top of him. "Is he dead ?" I asked. No replied the trainer, " he's sleeping". I looked at his unshod, natural feet. "He hasn't got his shoes on " I said. "Well like I say..." replied the trainer " He hasn't got up yet". I'll wait, folks.... I know exactly how you feel when backing an horse each way only to see it fill the place behind where you would get paid out!!! And then when you back them to win they finish 2nd as you have also found.The Hennessey meeting didn't reap any rewards for me but I managed to get a few quid on in running on Go Native ;-) Till next time.
