It’s been a busy (and expensive) last few days for me with poker tournaments, my son going back to school and the Calendar Club training day all taking their toll. £28 for a pair of shoes for a 5yo!! Crikey, what a ripoff. Clark’s must love August/September when the kids go back to school.
My lucks been terrible too, especially on the poker front, so I’ll be looking for a few winners tomorrow to balance the books. There are a few loose ends to tie up first which should leave the decks clear and enable me to focus fully on getting my money back…….
£100 to a Grand Round 2.
It seems that a number of you who successfully predicted the Odd number in Round 1 have yet to receive a congratulatory email that contains the rules for Round 2. Sorry! For those of you who haven’t yet had the email here’s what it would have looked like….
Hi *****,
Congratulations on correctly guessing ODD as the Bonus Ball Number. You are now through to Round 2.
For this Round you will need to guess the Draw of the winner of the Ayr Gold Cup (September 19th).
Do you think it will be ABOVE or BELOW stall 15.5?
If you think the winner will come from stall 1-15 simply send the word BELOW to the same email address as last time i.e. odd@nag-nag-nag.co.uk
If you think the winner will come from Stall 16 or above simply send the word ABOVE to the same address as last time i.e. odd@nag-nag-nag.co.uk
Emails must be received by 1pm on the 19th September.
Best of luck,
Gavin.
So, if you correctly guessed ODD for ROUND 1 you can now enter ROUND 2 using the instructions above.

Kieren Fallon
You’re probably sick to death of me going on about Mr Fallon but I just wanted to point out that a couple of weeks ago I highlighted the 11/4 on him winning a Group 1 race this season was the pick of all the Fallon Specials. The reason I mention it is because in today’s Racing Post in Corals advert they now offer 2/1 he DOESN’T win a Group 1 or Grade 1 race in 2009. So if you went with me and took the 11/4 he did win a Group 1 you can now back at 2/1 that he doesn’t and secure a profit one way or another.
Or, you can wait for him to win the Betfred Sprint Cup tomorrow and collect on the original 11/4!

And as a special offer to all Season Ticket Holders I will be placing a large ante-post bet on all 5 of the selections and will split all the winnings equally between every Season Ticket Holder. More details can be found in the Big 5 Guide.

The Cesarewitch
While researching the trends and going through the form for the Cesarewitch I came across a horse that looked very well treated for the race. I didn’t make it the selection because I felt he needed another run before the big race in October though he had all the right qualities you need in a Cesarewitch winner apart from that. Well, looking through the declarations for this weekend I see he will be getting that run as he is around 16/1 for the big Haydock handicap tomorrow. Highland Legacy is the horse and the 33/1 for the Cesarewitch might be worth a small each way wager in anticipation of a solid run tomorrow.

And finally, The Betchworth Kid.
I’m still in a state of shock that I didn’t back him yesterday after fancying him so much in the Northumberland Plate and Ebor. A softer race, a smaller field and 4/1! What a missed opportunity. I am stupid, stupid, stupid!
I just hope a few of you were on him…
Good luck,
Gavin.
