Kieren’s back tomorrow and as a fully paid up member of the Kieren Fallon Appreciation Society I give you…
5 Reasons why Kieren Fallon will be Champion Jockey next year….
1) Hunger
He wants his title back and you better believe that he’ll be going all out to get it. After 18 months out of the saddle I bet he can’t wait to get back amongst the winners. He’s hungry for success, he reckons he’s in the best shape of his life and if he’s shaken off the demons, the bookies had better watch out.
2) 200 winners
That’s the target he’s set himself to ride next season and if he gets anywhere near that target, he’ll be Champion Jockey. Can he do it? With no distractions and if trainers keep offering the rides, YES HE CAN!
3) Freelance.
He might not have the full backing of a major stable like in previous seasons but that doesn’t mean he won’t be riding for the likes of Sir Michael Stoute and Aiden O’Brien. There will be many times when these trainers have runners at different tracks and their respective stable jockeys will be unable to ride the stable horses. Who they gonna call? K. Fallon!
There are also many other trainers North and South who will be desperate to use his services and I reckon he’s an odds-on shot to be in the top 3 of most rides for any jockey next season. If he converts these rides into winners there’ll be no stopping him.
4) All Weather.
He’s already said that he won’t be riding on the all weather this winter, preferring to go Stateside to keep himself riding, and this has got to help him out next season. There will be no disciplinary points totting up against him so he won’t have the shadow of a lengthy suspension hanging over him when he starts back next March. Instead he’ll be fit, focussed and raring to go.
5) Simply the best.
Quite simply, he’s the best jockey out there. Ryan Moore’s very good but he’s no Fallon (yet). The trainers know it and there’ll be clamouring to use his services. He’ll get the most rides and ride the most winners. 4/1 is a steal, GET ON!
SIMPLES.
